The procession assembles at the junction of Market Street and Church Lane back towards Arthur’s Lane from 11am
until 12pm.
At 12pm the procession sets off along Market Street then right onto Carr Lane (A588), turning left into Rydal Road then left
along Rydal Road, turning right onto Coniston Avenue. The procession then continues along Coniston Avenue turning left onto Kiln Lane. At the end of Kiln Lane the procession turns left onto Broadpool
Lane (A588) then turns right onto Sandy Lane. At the end of Sandy Lane the procession turns left into Marsh Lane and continues up to Church Lane where it disassembles at around 1.30pm.
In order to minimise hold ups on the A588, a Chapter 8 accredited marshal (Mark Butterworth SWQR No: 26049392) will only stop
traffic on the A588 between Rydal Road and Market St once the procession has been held at the mouth of Market St in order to ensure that is as compact as is reasonable. This procedure will also occur
at the second entry point to the A588 where it will be held at the mouth of Kiln Lane, before the Tony Harris SWQR No:26049391 accredited marshal stops the traffic on the A588 between Kiln Lane and
Sandy Lane.
